A 20-page newspaper designed to accompany 1664 Blanc’s London Fashion Week activation at Selfridges London. Editorial design and art direction by All Purpose.

Le Journal Bleu is a bespoke, 20-page broadsheet newspaper crafted as the connoisseur’s cultural companion, designed to elevate the 1664 x London Fashion Week activation at Selfridges London. This exclusive publication serves as an artistic extension of the event, offering readers an insight into the world of fashion and style. With a focus on maximalist and bold editorial design, Le Journal Bleu captures the vibrancy and energy of London Fashion Week, making it an essential read for those attending the Blanc bar and beyond. Central to the newspaper are in-depth interviews with Aaron Esh, KNWLS, and Tolu Coker.

The interviews are accompanied by a series of photoshoots art-directed by our team and shot by Shahraam Sadat. Alongside these features, readers can explore a curated “blue edit” from Selfridges, aligning with the sophisticated yet bold theme of the newspaper. In addition to Le Journal Bleu, our design team also developed a suite of accompanying collateral for the 1664 Blanc activation at Selfridges, further enhancing the fashion week experience. The newspaper complements a rich fashion program hosted by 1664 Blanc in the Cinema at Selfridges, where BFC NEWGEN designers unveiled previews of their AW24 collections. The program also includes panel discussions with industry insiders and workshops led by London’s top stylists and trend forecasters, making Le Journal Bleu not just a publication but a gateway to the cutting-edge of fashion.
